Malta Summer School 8th-13th July 2013
The Physical Oceanography Unit of the IOI-Malta Operational Centre at the University of Malta will host an intensive summer course on Operational Oceanography in the 21st Century with a Focus on the Coastal Seas. It will be held at the University of Malta, from 8th to 12th of July 2013.
Next Jerico General assembly and workshops - HCMR in Crete - 1st to 5th October 2012
The next JERICO general assembly will be held in Heraklion, Capsis Astoria Hotel, in October the 1st and 2nd. This GA will close the first 18th month period of the project.
Associated to the general assembly, JERICO organises also 2 workshops:
- the first one is "how to have a common vision and to build a strategy for the next 10 years ?"
- the second one is about the best practices on coastal observing systems
The general Assembly and workshops are organised by HCMR in Crete.
SeaTechWeek and first Forum for coastal technology in Brest (France) from the 9th to the 12th of October
JERICO Fixed Platforms Workshop, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Rome, 29 February – 1 March 2012
The first JERICO workshop on fixed platforms was organized by CNR and CEFAS, with the WP3 and WP4 coordinators, HZG and HCMR.
36 partners and invited persons participated in an active way to this fist exchange on Best Practices on fixed platforms.
The first day was dedicated to “Current status and improvements” while the second day addressed the calibration needs and bio-fouling protections.

Oceanology International is the global forum where industry, academia and government share knowledge and connect with the marine technology and ocean science community, improving their strategies for measuring, exploiting, protecting and operating in the world’s oceans.
First JERICO FerryBox Workshop 30th to 31st of August 2011 - Geesthacht
All JERICO partners with an interest in ferrybox operations and processing of and interpretation of data from ferryboxes should attend this meeting to work on:
- Report on current status of ferryboxes
Pre-Kick Off Meeting 28th and 29th March 2011
This meeting was held in Brussels the 28th and 29th of March 2011 to prepare the kick off meeting
